Statement
I believe that all art is about making sense of our world. My work has enabled me to build a body of work which acts as a diary of my life.
Essentially I'm a collector. I collect stuff and information. It's the reason that it's difficult to exclude anything as an influence on my work.
I am watchful and alert to creative possibilities. Through a filtering process developed over the past 50 years I seek to make the mundane fantastic.
About me
I was born in Brighton, UK in 1964.
I qualified as a teacher with a B.Ed (Fine Art, Photography and Ceramics) from Exeter University in 1986. I retired on the 30th December 2019. Whilst working as a teacher I have pursued my own work and exhibiting something I intend to focus on. I am working on a couple of ideas for photobooks based on several themes.
